'Kaiju a la Mode' is the film I created Sophomore year at SVA. It's a fun little short featuring four characters I've been drawing for years: kaiju friends Jirago, Brakko, Alexis Amazon, and Cameleo. These guys originate roughly between my 2009 to 2012 sketchbooks, with the exception of Jirago, who was a character I created one fateful lunch period in grade school. These characters mean a lot to me, and it was only fair I honor them my first fully realized film.
Below you can find visual development for the film as well as the storyboard, panel by panel. Unfortunately, Adobe Portfolio does not have a way to present storyboards a la PowerPoint, so I hope this embedded PDF suffices. It can pop out in its own window, where you can also download it if you'd like.

Brakko, the big blue laser blaster. The wisest and calmest of the gang.

Cameleo, the Kaiju Khameleon. He's the gang's Godzooky.

Jirago, a feisty firebreather and literal hothead. The lovable bastard of the group.

Height comparison. Jirago is remarkably small for a kaiju.

Proof of concept. A little different from the final product, but that's expected.
